'on the run' -- paintings

These 15 paintings were done during the past three years. The media are acrylic, watercolor, ink, pencil and occasionally crayon -- on canvasette paper or canvas. Sizes range from 16 x 20 inches to 18 x 24 inches. My paintings are weird and off-center, but they're also vibrant. I've titled my virtual exhibition 'on the run' because for me painting is an act of improvisation: when I begin a piece, there's also an ending, but I don't know what that ending is until I find my way through the path of painting to get to it. There are changes along the way.
