About The Artist


Nora Blansett has always been an artist, though she's had no formal training. She began drawing as a very young child and had her first gallery show when she was in her early teens. Growing up internationally she spent most of her childhood bouncing from country to county with "home" being Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In her teens she moved to Montgomery, Alabama and currently resides in Nova Scotia, Canada. The primary mediums she works in are ink, colour pencil, and watercolours, as well as jewellery design, photography and fantasy art soft-sculpture dolls. Her award-winning work is collected around the globe, published in various magazines and books and licensed for a variety of products. Most recently, her work was shown at the 2011 MTV Movie Awards. For more information, please check out her website: [link] Artistic Interests Living abroad had a major impact on her art and opinions of the world around her. She began drawing intricate designs from the Middle East and India incorporating vivid colour, later finding a love of figurative works and fantasy. Personal Interests I'm an Artist, Photographer, Author, Mother and I am Autistic. My art and photography is collected around the world and my short stories and poetry have been published many times in several languages. I am currently writing a children's novel based on my "The Realm of Ever'ee Dae", as well as fantasy for a mature audience. I am an avid supporter of Autism and Cancer research, as well as LGBT rights and often donate my work and time to raise money and awareness. I'm a proud member of The indiExhibit!
