Pu-tai or "Laughing Buddha" is an important figure of the Chinese culture. According to legend was a monaco Zen famous because his sermon was a laugh that soon involved the whole village. The "Laughing Buddha", as a metaphor of Art, on the way to the virtual streets of the XXI century, smartphone and bowl of rice and his big laugh that stops thinking, reveals the existence of maja, illusion, stops time, an elixir of life. The big portal that frames Pu-tai is a summary of the main social network depicted by their icons, made with corrugated cardboard carved recalling the wooden inlay, while the Buddha is made in pastel. Dimensions: inch 118,1 x 118,1. Year 2015 Pu-tai o “Buddha che ride” è una figura importante della cultura cinese. Secondo la leggenda era un monaco Zen famoso perché il suo sermone era una risata che in breve coinvolgeva tutto il villaggio. Il “Buddha che ride”, come metafora dell’Arte, in cammino per le strade virtuali del XXI secolo, smartphone e ciotola di riso e la sua grande risata che ferma il pensiero, svela l’esistenza di maja, illusione, ferma il tempo, un elisir di lunga vita. Il grande portale che incornicia Pu-tai è una sintesi dei principali social network raffigurati con le proprie icone, realizzati con il solo cartone ondulato intagliato che richiama l'intarsio ligneo, mentre il Buddha è realizzato a pastello.
