About The Artist

I am a London based Artist exploring the relationship between fashion, sex and celebrity. Honing in on our obsession with effect and playful spectacle, my paintings suggest an idealistic reality where excess becomes fashionable and fashion excessive. The surfaces of fashion are used as a means of seduction; they appear highly plasticised, saturated in gloss and permeated by sensuality and eroticism. To confront the binary of oppositions which pervades contemporary fashion advertising, I deconstruct, reconstruct and abstract these surfaces; turning commerce into critique, realism into revelation. Recent features include British Vogue, Artsbeat Magazine and Real Homes. My 2015 exhibition at GX Gallery was also the subject of Beyond Time TV's short film 'Inspiring People'.
