Mary Magdalene is a person from the Bible and religious history. According to legend, she pursued amorous adventures and led a life of complete sexual freedom. According to legend, Mary Magdalene was considered to be Jesus' companion, even lover, and a prostitute at the time. The depiction of Mary Magdalene in the painting shows her naked, her arms crossed in front of her upper body and with an absent gaze. Her life, marked by passion, is shown in an abstract background, in fiery colours: orange-red.
