Depth is a series of 5 photographs of the Jostedalsbreen Glacier, Norway. Each photograph is 30x12in. Installed measurements are about 30x70in, including a 2.3in recommended distance between each piece. Each of these photographs is printed on Fujipearl paper, then face-mounted on Plexiglass. 1/8 Plexiglass face-mounted, ΒΌ Sintra back mounted and wood base hanging system. This series depicts the purity and depth of the largest glacier on the continent of Europe. The anthropomorphic ice formations and astonishing variety of colors were hypnotic to observe and a privilege to capture through my lenses. In order to take the viewer with me into the depths of the crevices and the calming, frozen lakes below, I have presented the glacier as a meditation on color, lines and curves. You are invited to explore the spectacular shades of blue and the intriguing formations as your eyes move from one image to the next in this rolling, gorgeous landscape of ice and water.
