1 Peter 1: 23-25 “...For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away: But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.” The rock is perceived in the Scriptures as a solid foundation of the Holy Spirit – interpreted as “Tsur” and “Cela?”. Surrounding this solid form is constant disarray and fleeting existence: Building then falling; growing then wilting; glowing then dulling. Only until we become like the rock, steadfast in faith, can we find mental comfort.
