Me and my arts

30.0 x 40.0 cm

The question of the value of art is as old as art itself. What part of the hunted cattle was given to the artist who drew it on the rocks of the cave of Artamides? In my opinion, his love for drawing left him hungry. It is very important how much a society is ready to allocate and invest in the process of creating and spreading art. Of course, not everyone was delighted with the drawing on the rocks of the cave and took it superficially and lightly. Furthermore, the question arises whether art should always be beautiful to the eye of the beholder. Realism is the direction I prefer. How can a picture of a murdered child, in its realism, be beautiful? It can be well done... and the emotions of the viewers of that work are a separate story. Art is relative. People who work in art are characterized by creativity and imagination. Their works are a reflection of their psyche, character and, in general, their understanding of life and the environment in which they work and create. In most cases, creativity ignores the commercial aspect of the profession. Only a few authors manage to market their art well. Only a few manage to return, ie. to charge the invested time, material and enormous patience. This happens mainly because of the poor general condition of the population and the years-long neglect of art culture by the ruling structures. Sometimes I naively comfort myself: "It's not all about the money...There's something in what I'm doing." When I'm attracted to some motive from nature, some wonderful sunset, someone's expressive face, everything else falls into the water. To stand in front of an empty painting canvas with an idea that completely occupied me is a great challenge, but also a freedom. Thank God and my r. to father Edhem, from whom I inherited (as certain art critics emphasize) golden hands. An artist is born as such. The life of an artist is a circular flow embellished with colors. It's an eternal struggle with myself because I don't want black days to produce black pictures on my canvas. Only strong people can stand up to themselves. Only an artist can stop and immortalize a moment of someone's life and a piece of nature that filled his eyes with beauty. It is God's gift to be able to cover dark days with the color of the sky. The sky is an infinity that sets no limits to art.
