About The Artist
Since my education I do a lot of exhibitions of my work and teach drawing and painting in my own atelier.
Also I have had for years a gallery, in which changing exhibitions have taken place, expositions of my own work and of other artists.
My work is a reaction on my life and on who I am in all of my commitment, joy and vulnerability… going on living with courage and working in a world in which so much happens.
Buddhism and the beauty of the human being in all its vulnerability are my greatest sources of inspiration.
That is why I make portraits of people from different cultures with big eyes who are looking at you in a introvert and searching way.
Recently I made a lot of paintings which are called Eastern Abstractions and a series of paintings which are called Honeyhunters.
After a thorough (drawing) study of the streetchildren of Bombay I am now making a series of paintings with these children as a topic.
I also make wallpaintings which is a specialty of mine.
Recently I had a (digital) exposition of my work at the Tokyo Art Fair.
I have been invited by the Artifact Gallery in Manhattan (in the well-known Lower East Side district) for a solo exhibition.
In October 2015 I exhibited my work at the Biënnale Florence.
My work at the International Marziart Gallery Hamburg was shown from 31 July 2015 until the end of August 2015.
I will show my work in Berlin in March 2016 at the Marzia Frozen Gallery.
I have received invitations for a lot of exhibitions, for instance in London, Rome, Florence.
