About The Artist
Maria Aparici
Painting is a ridiculous activity which interests few, but with it I prove that I'm alive. It's my life projected on a white canvas; my sad moments, my happy ones... above all the challenges I've faced. Painting, as life, is difficult, and is written with images. In the same way a journalist seeks exclusives with news.
Being brave creating without falling into the trap of permanent mediocrity, is equal to being brave without anchoring oneself in the comfort of the traditions from always.
A progressive, adaptable narrative, sequences of life within the painting, "something" that convinces, overwhelms and bewilders with elegance without violence, aggression, without stridencies, that could be contemplated with certain stupor, respect and jealousy.
