About The Artist

The city energy fuels my vigorous, raw and spontaneous painting process. Underlying tones are reflected by my time spent in Southern California and my love for the ocean mixed with my passion for life and my inner strength. My life as an artist developed unexpectedly after leaving everything and moving from San Diego to Chicago in 2011. I didn’t know anyone in the city. In the spring of 2013 I took an adult beginning drawing class at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago to fill my time, meet new people, and learn more about the world of art. I told the professor “I can’t draw…” and he replied “I’ll pull it out of you!” And that started my new life as an artist. I had my first art exhibit in 2014, moved into Studio 924 in 2016 and received my SAIC painting certificate in 2017. I also have been accepted and participate in many summer art festivals and my “Space Series” line is carried by John-Richard and Horchow.com.
