Serial of paintings Great White Roses is dedicated to authentic Slovenian rose ”Snežniška gartroža“. They are made for the event on Castle Snežnik in collaboration with the National Museum of Slovenia. Paintings are made in advanced Leonardo da Vinci sfumato technique. The first painting has 66, second 198 and third 132 layers of thin colour. The number of layers and geometry of composition is made according to ancient knowledge about the structure of the material world. format: three paintings 66 cm x 198 cm Acrylic, gold leaf and silver on wooden panels
