I work primarily with acrylics and texture additives, painting on both canvas and wood panels. Long fascinated with the decay and weathering of natural materials (especially oxidation of metals such as rust) and the transformation of materials by moss and mold growth, I create similar textures in my works to provoke a sense of awe for the passage of time in my viewers. Because of my additional studies in both science and music, I am interested in exploring the nexus where art, music, and science meet. I want to create a new kind of artistic poetry that spans these disciplines.
