Oil on panel, 30 x 50 cm. Last year I traveled through Nepal, a beautiful country. I walked for a few days through the annapurna ranche, a very nice trip along the local people and the beautiful nature and mountain peaks of the Himalayas. I stayed in several villages including Ghandruk. A very old village of hundreds of years old. The people here live in the mountains and speak their own language, gurung language. It can only be reached on foot, no roads, no traffic. I was very impressed with life here. It was as if I had entered the last century..... That's how I met rajkumari gurung, she is 85 years old and speaks her own language: gurung. Also the clothes she wears is traditional gurung clothes. I have pictured her here with the Himalayas in the background and the source of the holy river Ganges. It is important for every Hindu to visit the Himalayas and the Ganges once in your life
