About The Artist
Jennifer is a third-generation native of Washington, DC, and was blessed to grow up in a city with so many amazing museums, resources, beautiful places, and opportunities to pursue art. She matriculated from the Catholic University of America with a B.A. in English Literature, with concentrations in Fine Art and Philosophy. After graduating, Jennifer continued her art education with classes at the Smithsonian Institute and Corcoran School of Art & Design in Washington, DC, the former Columbia School of Visual Arts in Columbia, MD, and the Torpedo Factory in Alexandria, VA.
Jennifer has worked with pen and ink, colored pencil, acrylic and oil, and clay, and has pursued painting, figure drawing, calligraphy, stippling, ceramics, and more. For the past 7 years, she’s focused on painting mostly abstract in acrylics and oils. She has exhibited her work in studio tours, gallery exhibitions, restaurants, and coffee shops in both Virginia and New Mexico.
She currently splits her time between Rappahannock County, VA, and southwestern New Mexico, where she lives and creates on a ranch in the Gila National Forest outside Silver City.
