About The Artist
My experience as a professional illustrator dates back to 1975 when I was in the USAF. Stationed at Edwards Air Force Base I had High Security Clearance to access the B1 Bomber flight line and the developing Space Shuttle Project. I was asked by my Squadron Commander to create artwork for the base newspaper with regard to both projects and the personnel involved. This prompted the Director of the Base NCO Club and a local Music Promoter to hire me to make illustrations for upcoming shows and entertainment events.
After an Honorable Discharge I attended college on the GI Bill. I majored in art illustration and life studies for several years while at the same time learned airbrush techniques. This became a business customizing artistic creations on automobiles such as trucks, vans, cars, motorcycles. This evolved into painting large scale murals for several businesses from the west coast in California to the east coast in New England.
During the past 40 years, as a freelance illustrator, I've illustrated book covers, greeting cards, children's books, bedding and apparel as well as many diversified private commissions. My passion with decades of progressive experience and commitment to always excel has refined my creativity and illustrations to a very high quality standard. At present, with the advances in technology and the development of new techniques, I have integrated what I've done on canvas and illustration board with digital illustrations which I have embraced! I utilize the vivid colors, flexibility and control with details,, and the special effect tools to render an end result of high quality digital illustrations. My portfolio can be seen on my website at;
