Eye of the Storm
Fran Johnson
Oddly enough there was a huge storm moving across the midwest as I was painting this canvas. The disruption of color into color describes what I heard outside. Brilliant color displaced with blacks and browns create havoc with the underlying yellows.

Eye of the Storm
Fran Johnson
Oddly enough while I was painting this canvas a huge storm was sweeping through the midwest. Taking inspiration from the extreme winds and turbulent rain, "Eye of the Storm" was born. Bursts of wind and and lightning are depicted in brilliant reds and yellow and the eye is watching you if you look very close.
