22” x 10” x 60”. Nevermore is an internally lit mixed media piece that explores Poe’s “Raven”. The torso is comprised of compressed cardboard, glass, grout and upholstery fringe. The top is comprised of all vintage parts including oil lamp parts, and an automobile hood ornament. “Lenore” is represented with a porcelain baby doll head and shoulders, dyed sparrow wings, a crown made of votive parts, and a real plasticized raccoon heart. Inside the torso hang two painted cages. Inside one is a vintage opium bottle (representing Poe’s unfortunate, alleged addiction), and in the other, a vintage pocket watch with the picture of a raven inside.
