About The Artist

Curriculum Vitae of ASTRID JACOBS www.astridjacobs.de The award-winning painter, illustrator and author Astrid Jacobs works and resides in Germany. She graduated from the Art Academy in Hamburg, Germany. Aside from her fine-art career, Ms. Jacobs had a prosperous professional life as a publisher, illustrator, writer and art director at renowned businesses including Gruner & Jahr in Germany and Andresen Company. She exhibits her artwork internationally throughout Slovakia, Italy, Austria, Germany, England, and the United States. Her artwork hangs in many public and private collections worldwide. She undertook many study trips to Europe, Asia and the USA. In 1993 she moved to New York, USA, where she worked at the Barrett-House Art Gallery and School of Arts. Since 1998 she has her own studio in Munich, Germany, as a freelance artist. Her paintings allow to capture happy moments of silence, showings others a glimpse of what’s beneath the surface.The colors express the emotions and music behind all forms of life. For her color is music and music is color.
