As dawn conquers night, the allegory here is of a young woman arising from slumber, stretching and sensing energy well up in her, rejoicing at the potential of a new day. In Daybreak, I endeavored to create that sense of promise that is inherent with new beginnings and the openings that accompany them, both for the individual and for the community.
