About The Artist
Rene Saul Trujillo was born and raised in El Paso, Texas and traveled to Santa Fe, New Mexico to attend the College of Santa Fe for about two years. When the school closed, Trujillo was given the opportunity to attend the School of the Art Institute of Chicago to complete the remainder of his undergrad education. He graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in the spring semester of 2011.
Recently, Trujillo participated in the 2011 Art International at the Cancer Treatment Institute in El Paso, Texas and the 2011 BFA show in the Sullivan Galleries in Chicago. Trujillo has participated in numerous of other art shows including So You Thought We Were Dead Juried Exhibit, group show in the College of Santa Fe in 2009 and Fist Full of Art Sculpture Exhibit, group show in the College of Santa Fe in 2009. Over the years Rene has also earned several awards and grants including a scholarship from the College of Santa Fe Competition in Santa Fe NM in 2007 and in 2008.
