Tawny Frogmouth (Podargus strigoides) Mostly nocturnal , it roosts against a branch, laning trunk or broken stump. They press their tail against the limb and adopt a stiff upright posture with the beak and forehead bristles pointed straight up blending it well. Habitat: woodlands of Tasmania. Australia.
