About The Artist
Shay Holloway is a self-taught, versatile acrylic painter based in Arkansas. After earning a BA in Psychology and Criminal Justice from the University of Arkansas, she chose to pause her academic career to pursue her creative passions. Her deep interest in psychology, particularly color psychology, serves as the foundation for her use of color in her artwork. Shay has collaborated with organizations such as the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art and her local public library on community art initiatives and events. Her work has been showcased in exhibitions across Europe, at the Walton Arts Center, and most recently at the Red Dot Miami art fair with AGI Fine Art of New York. Spanning a range of mediums, styles, and subjects, Shay’s art incorporates the symbolism of color, shapes, and lines to guide her creative choices. She sees her work as a reflection of the way that she experiences life—a continuous journey of creative exploration, wonder, and discovery. Through her creative journey, she aims to inspire her peers and fellow artists by showing that building a creative life can take many forms. She believes there is no single path to achieving the success you desire and hopes to be an example of how personal expression and individuality can shape one’s artistic journey.
