This oil painting presents the Cat's Eye Nebula with its spiral shape on a textured canvas. The composition is dominated by gentle, curved lines that condense into a central swirling movement. The colour palette is predominantly cool shades of grey and blue, interspersed with subtle accents of white, beige and a hint of pink. These colour nuances blend into one another and create a misty, almost ethereal atmosphere. In the centre of the vortex, the impression of movement and depth is created, as if you were looking into a misty abyss. The outer edges of the spiral structure gently dissolve into the background, reinforcing the impression of lightness and weightlessness.
