About The Artist
Christopher Parker is a 23 year old native from Sullivan’s Island, South Carolina. Growing up with two parents who are very passionate artists, he was immersed in creativity, and grew up being encouraged to express himself creatively with everything he did. While his friends would go on vacations to places like Disney World, his mother and father had him explore inspirational museums such as the Metropolitan, Louvre, and Uffizi.
At an early age, Parker was diagnosed with dyslexia. With this conditions, he believed that there were so many caps on his abilities as a person that he was not able to achieve what his peers could. Parker finally learned that his abilities to see the big picture and value all people’s ideas and strengths were his best qualities. Parker now utilizes these skills in everything he does, and his true passion is teaching art to children. Christopher Parker loves teaching children to express themselves through their creativity, and believes there is no reason why anyone should not be his or her own biggest fan.
Over the years, Christopher Parker's artwork has been very diverse. He has used many different media and styles. Pottery was his main focus that he later used to get in to Alfred University, the top ceramic college in the nation. He believes there is no right way or wrong way to get the end result. All of his drawings, paintings, woodwork, and other artwork is all up to the perspective of the viewer. When working on his artwork, he makes sure to have fun and just see what comes out of it.
