About The Artist


Born in 1934 in Aomori Prefecture, Masako Kubota, an oil painter, graduated from the Joshibi University of Art and Design. She mainly uses horses as a theme to express their beauty, vitality and strength. Kubota painted race horses in the Horse Racing Hall of Fame in the JRA Horse Racing Museum. She has also painted war horses as prayers for their souls. Kubota is the recipient of the Medal with Purple Ribbon.
