" Shrim-Nake " Original oil painting. 16 x 20 $2000 2010 Limited Prints of 25 1. $300 2. $200 3. $100 4 to 25 $50 each Dan's (condo) summer 2010,backyard by the pool. I kept looking at this apple tree and i envisioned snakes because it had weird branches. Thats what inspired me to do this oil painting of his backyard. I took a picture of it, anyway i took out the fence,plants,tons of weeds. (I always keep my own landscape clean) thats probably why i wanted to clean up the pic. Anyway i added other things to it, like 2 black snakes wrapped around the branches and put trees in the back with shadows and made the shadow of the apple tree like a giant shrimp. So i combined the snake and shrimp words for the title " Shrim - nake ". It was a fun summer relaxing,refreshing day in his pool. In fact I ended up doing 2 oil paintings: his backyard and Sue in the swimming pool. I gotta change that black frame its making the painting look small.
