About The Artist

Baldazzi Franco, Of Tuscan origin, was born in Florence in 1969. The atmosphere that always embraces Firenze influences immediately this artist, somewhat "rebellious." After school he decides to express immediately his artistic passion, but the clash with reality calms down the artist's enthusiasm in few years. He decides to frequent the studio of the Spanish painter Mari Carmen Mur in order to understand and see other realities and, perhaps, to understand the "secrets" of this art that fascinates him. He embarks on a "normal" working life without neglecting his artistic and creative streak and participates in several local exhibitions. He alternates periods of intense activity with long periods of reflection. With the birth of his three children and his new role of father, he finds again the energy and the will to express himself by taking over those ideas and projects that he set aside. He struggles to go back to the artistic activity and he goes through a phase he defines as a "black" period, making freehand works in a "dark" style. Despite the desire to get out of this almost "comatose" status in order to navigate into the colour, only in 2015, after a bad illness, he succeeds in finding the right energy to speak with “colours”. Creative and multifaceted artist, as he calls himself, his art is not attributable to schools or movements, it is expressed with strong and contrasting colours, inspired in every way and from every place, in that moment of time equal to a butterfly’s beating of wings.
