About The Artist

Lizzi Schippert, NJWCS A native of New Jersey, Lizzi Schippert graduated Emmanuel College, Boston, and pursued study of classical printmaking and painting techniques at the Instituto Allende, San Miguel Allende, Mexico; the School of the Museum of Fine Art, Boston; and the Maryland Institute College of Art, Baltimore. Her extensive resume lists over 35 solo shows nationwide, in the Caribbean, Sweden and Japan. SPACE Images As a small child I remember my parents having me listen to the first radio beeps broadcast from Sputnik - since them I have been fascinated by space. As an artist I find the format of Space freeing, as anything can be anywhere, forming whatever composition which comes into being. A free-floating astronaut is not unlike a scuba diver - weightless, soaring and surrounded by otherworldly creatures and environs.
