About The Artist

Short Biography Masters in Applied Arts from Akademie für Angewandte Kunst, Vienna, Austria Studies in oil painting with Sebastián Capella, La Jolla, CA, USA, Workshops with John Asaro, Wolf Kahn, Albert Handell, Bert Silverman and Ray Roberts, USA 18 solo shows in the US and Mexico 40 group shows in the US, France and México, I have a great passion for nature, and a great affection for color. I look for interesting compositions and compelling visual beauty, and try to respond to what moves me emotionally, when I chose the subjects for my paintings. I have participated in the creation of three monumental size murals in Guadalajara, Mexico and have been teaching drawing and painting since 2001. My paintings are in private collections in Mexico, the US, Canada, Germany, Austria, Sweden and Australia, the Federal Art Collection of the Government of Mexico and in the museum collection of the Peter Gray Museum in Puerta Vallarta. I intend to keep on learning and improving, while continuing my current explorations of immediacy, complementary tonalities, simplification of detail, and of course my fascination with the ever-changing qualities of light and shade.
