POP ART PSY The irreverent and fun art of Luigi Monti Contemporary art artist since 1987. Pop Art Psy: Cartoon characters under the effect of psychedelic substances. Oil paintings on canvas, also on commission. My name is Luigi Monti and I was born in Ancona, Italy, in 1971. Immediately after obtaining my diploma from the Art Institute in 1989, I took the opportunity for my first exhibition held in 1990 at the Ca' Bianca Club' in Milan . Various painting techniques tested: Acrylic, collage and spray paint. Over the last 8 years I have focused on and perfected the oil technique. In my artistic progression, I started with abstraction and then moved on to figurative art. Since 2018 I have devised a new branch of Pop Art, combining this with the underground world of psychedelia which derives from the protest and freedom movement of 68'
