About The Artist
Dawn returned to painting after 10 years as an award winning copywriter and a few more as a photographer. She grew up in Northern Ireland, where she studied at Rupert Stanley College of Art in Belfast before moving on to Newcastle upon Tyne to the School of Art and Design.
Inspired by a long trip home and a few local gallery visits, brushes were dusted off again in spring, 2009.
Her first exhibition after taking up the brushes again was at Trafalgar Studios in July 09 to accompany the production of 'Orwell- A Celebration' by Dominic Cavendish for which she was commissioned to produce portraits of George Orwell.
* shortlisted for the Art and Escape Awards 2010,
* featured in the 2010 Cross my Art Exhibition @210 Pentonville described as 'the largest most exciting private exhibition of contemporary art for London 2010.'
