Alleviated suffering

0.0 x 0.0

Oil Painting 5X7 Exposed at the Kolin Museum, Prague, Tcheck Republic ALLEVIATED SUFFERING Alleviated suffering is the result of an emotion so intense that it becomes violent and primitive. This is the deep desire and obsession to heal the wounds of others, to alleviate the suffering that are eating the poor, piercing the heart and leaving us with a taste in our mouths, the taste acrid and bitter impotence. We can be as powerless against the disease in the face of misfortune, the face of death, we can alleviate the suffering that slowly kills those we love and cherish dearly by giving them love, affection? Can we alleviate the suffering of AIDS patients, cancer patients, the hungry, the sick and suffering children, with a tender caress? Can we heal the mental and physical injuries of a child victim of war, taking them gently in our arms? We can relieve the anxiety that inhabits those who have rocked our childhood, in old age and facing death, by saying simply, I love you?! Paula Laflamme
