Randell Research Center is an abstract original hand painted landscape oil painting 36" x 36" x 3/4" with painted canvas wrapped around the edges. It was created en plein air (French for "open air") and captures the emotions of nature and brings them to you for your enjoyment. The painting is playful, somewhat abstract and contemporary in style, with expressionism overtones. It was painted at the Randell Research Center on Pine Island, just off the coast of Fort Myers, FL. The Randell Research Center studies the life and times of the Caloosa Indians who controlled most of southern Florida for over 1000 years and the Center works closely with the University of FL.
