About The Artist


Allison Long Hardy was born and raised in Frederick, MD. She received her BA in Intermedia from West Virginia Wesleyan College and her MFA from Towson University where she concentrated in painting. In the fall of 2010 Allison started teaching at Northern Virginia Community College and University of Mary Washington as an adjunct professor. She teaches everything from Drawing I to Design Principles, to Painting I and Special Studies. She currently lives and has a studio in Woodbridge, VA. Allison’s work has been exhibited nationally. Most recently, Allison’s work was featured in a solo exhibition at the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, VA titled Crowded Spaces and McDaniel College in Westminster, MD titled Engulfed. Her work is in the collections of PNC Bank in Washington, DC and on the set of The Good Wife which airs on CBS.
