About The Artist

Dominique Favreul was born in 1955, he learned classical painting at the age of sixteen, then studied Architecture at the "Ecole des Beaux-Arts de Paris", where he taught composition and rendering techniques after graduating. Award winner of the "Grand Prix d'Architecture" of the "Académie des Beaux-Arts". As a painter, he made his first exibition in Paris, in 1984 , taking part in annual big exibitions at the "Grand Palais" in Paris. Since years,He works only as a painter, listed at Artprice , member of the Taylor foundation and certified Epsom digigraphe artist since 2011. I regularly work on three painting series that interact with one another. I always work on several paintings or projects at the same time, which interact with one another. My series “Interstellar Abstractions” is reminiscent of a former life as an Architect : architectural compositions, futuristic projects, astroports and planets, Floydian visions that all mingle in the corners of my subconscious. My series “Metadores de Toros” deals with colours, bright uniforms, gestures, dynamics and movement, bravery of course, beauty, courage, life and respect all befriend death.
