About The Artist

Deb Chaney is a contemporary abstract artist based in Vancouver, BC, Canada. An elected member of the Society of Canadian Artists (SCA), she is predominantly self-taught with a B.Sc. in Earth and Ocean Sciences from the University of Victoria. For the past decade, she has created a new body of work each year and exhibited and sold her paintings across Canada and in the U.S. Currently she is represented by Kunat Fine Art Gallery in Germany. In 2014 she won an honorable award for her painting entitled ‘Storming’ in the 9th Annual Female Artist Competition based in London, UK. Deb’s work appears in the 3rd edition of BC Artists (Leighton Press, 2012). In 2009 Rainmaker Inc. featured her work in a film. She has been interviewed on Novus and Telus TV, CBC Radio, and Vancouver Co-op Radio. Her work is held in corporate collections including, BC Children's Hospital in Vancouver, BC and First Manhattan Mortgage, and The Beach Cities Health District, California. She is currently continuing to develop her 'Fragments of Life' and 'Where Spirituality meets Physicality' series of paintings. http://www.debchaney.com
