About The Artist


Clyde D. Lewis is an artist from San Antonio , TX. He was raised up by his grandparents as a child. His grandfather was a framer and rancher, his great uncle cowboy on the Walkers Ranch in East Texas. So naturally Clyde interest in cowboy budded at a very young age. Throughout his teen years he has team rope, steer wrestling and bull riding. After high school he went in to the medical field but stayed close to his cowboy roots working on a 3000 acre ranch and volunteering at the San Antonio and Houston Rodeo. He was taught to draw by his cousin ,who is a artist and retired police officer him self. All of Clyde work is influence by his family history ,not only was his grandfather a rancher but also a black Choctaw Indian. Clyde has showed his work at the New Braunfels ,Texas Art Gallery and Show. Sold his work across Texas, New México, Kansas, South Carolina, Montana,. He also have the passion to exhibit the work of black cowboys and is currently working on a few drawing to do just that. On July 25 2014 three of my picture will have I new home in the National Multicultural Western Heritage Museum of Fourth Worth , Texas . You can order prints of Clyde work on Fine Art America .
