About The Artist
I picked up my first camera a few months before the pandemic started, discovering this new creative medium while homeless on the streets on NYC. Four years of survival mode, hyper-awareness & stress from my surroundings was difficult, but shooting film helped me slow my mind down, allowing me to take my time & create art in a new & impactful way; it became therapeutic.
The cost of film being only $3 at the time made it easy to invest in this new artistic endeavor, allowing me the opportunity to make the streets I slept on my canvas. I also wasn’t overly critical of my progress while enjoying the process. As I learned more about contact sheets, focal lengths, & shutter speed, I became enamored with the way I could share the beauty of the world from my perspective, & one day display it in the most beautiful galleries.
