Born and raised in Puerto Rico where NiNo started his art education. He has a BA in Fine Arts/Graphic Design from IPFW. Moved to Los Angeles and has been working as a Production Designer/Art Director for TV, film, music videos and tours. He's known for being the 1st Puerto Rican to ever bring art to the well renowned Burning Man event with Got Framed in 2015. In 2017, the Honoraria Art Grant recipient for his owl MÚCARO. ATABEY's Treasure was his third large installation in 2022 and 2023. And most recently in 2024, he created the largest COQUÍ in the world. His outreach community art program Múcaro's Rising was recognized as one of CODAworx Awards Top 100 Commissioned Art pieces worldwide. His dedication and love for city art involving communities continues to grow. Personally what fulfills him the most is creating spaces that provoke thought and conversation.
