I am heavily influence by our beautifully vast and barren Western Australian coastline where I spend endless summers laying adrift or swimming. I observe what the light from the sun penetrating through the water to the ocean floor, and on to figurative form does; reflection, refraction, illusion, distortion, foreshortening all fascinate me, and being a bit of a perfectionist I try to replicate that with sensitivity and emotion to express freedom and surrender.
