Sobre el Artista

Pagratis Pagratidis was born in Kavala, Greece, in December 1965. A musician at first, a sound engineer later, he has had a 27-year career in the two fields. He has always been taking pictures but since 2000 he has started to immerse himself deeper and deeper into the world of photography, and it has become a true passion, a way of life. In the summer of 2009 he decided to enter the art gallery world, after having studied with renowned Greek photographer Platon Rivellis in an 8-month seminar on art photography. In August 2009 he participated in a group exhibition and then he found himself showing his work 6 times in a 1-year period, including (and most importantly) in ART ATHINA 2010. 1-20/08/2009 Participation in a group exhibition entitled “Sappho’s Chariot” in Kourd Gallery in Poros. 4-24/08*2009 Personal exhibition entitled “Blazing light”, in the Rainbow and Art Gallery. 8-31/10/2009 Personal exhibition entitled “Landscapes in Spacetime” in Skoufa Gallery in Athens. Part of the Athens Photo Festival 2009. 1-10/12/2009 Personal exhibition with the same title in Kavala. 17/01 - 31/04 / 2010 Personal exhibition entitled “Athens. In the streets of loneliness” in Fnac’s exhibition rooms in Athens. 13-16/05/2010 Paricipation in ART ATHINA 2010 with Skoufa Gallery. In the summer of 2010 he participated in group exhibitions in Myconos, Poros and Athens. 15-30/11/2010 Personal exhibition entitled ‘‘Color in black & White” in Cavala 2-12/12/2010 Personal exhibition entitled ‘‘Color in black & White” in Drama 14-30/4/2011 Personal exhibition entitled ''Private View.MIA ART FAIR''in Gallery Kourd.Athens. 12-15/5/2011 Partcipation in "MIA ART FAIR 2011'' by individoual stand with Gallery Kourd.Milano. His work entitled “ANCIENT ATHENS. KERAMEIKOS” will be shown in April 2011. He also has two photography books ready to be published: “ANCIENT ATHENS. KERAMEIKOS” and “AS IN A DREAM”.
