Sobre el Artista

Self-taught French artist, I'm professional and affiliated to "La Maison des Artistes" since 2005. Many artists influenced my work like Johannes Vermeer, Jean Siméon Chardin, Lubin Baugin, Sebastien Stoskopff, Jan Van Eyck, Pieter Claesz, Willem Claeszoon Heda, Clara Peeters, René Magritte or Claude Yvel. My favorite textures are the glass for its transparency and deformations and the metal for the reflections, but also the drapes and the wood. I always try "to accumulate" several textures in each of my compositions. For having tested different techniques, the Flemish oil technique remains the one in which I feel the most comfortable and the most obvious. At this date, I'm not represented by a gallery. In 2016, for the first time in my career, one of my paintings has been showed in public at the International Art Bansko gallery in Bulgaria. It was a very moving moment for me after 11 years of professionalism to see my work interesting a gallery. I use regularly numerous symbolist references of the Flemish painters of the XV-XVIth century as the walnut, hazelnut, grape or peeleded lemon. Certain paintings can have a "hidden" sense which I appreciate to master. Naturally, I feel more at ease on the small formats. I also appreciate to work in the depth as in the density. My paintings are for the most important proportion in the United Kingdom, United States and Australia (*list below of countries where I am honored that my paintings are. Andorra, Australia, Austria, Bahamas, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, China, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong-Kong, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Mexico, Norway, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States. http://www.jpwalterfinearts.com/ http://www.facebook.com/jpwalterart/
