Kerstin Lindstroem (prev. Mowafi) Kerstin Lindstroem was born in 1948 in Hanko, Finland and lives in Stockholm, Sweden. She has been drawing, painting and writing since she can remember. Her Egyptian-inspired work draws on historical sources that deal with symbolic sources dating back to the pyramids. She is an excellent example of an artist who relates to ancient civilations and their sources of cultural power. She participated at the 2007 Florence Biennale. Since 1994 she has had 20 solo exhibitions in Finland and in Sweden and about 35 group participations in several towns in Sweden and in Italy. Her works belong to private and public collections in several countries. She is an awarded artist. She is a member of the Swedish Artist Association.
