Oil on canvas 16"w x 20"h, 2016 Hiking in Ice House Canyon northeast of Baldy Village CA I was looking for a scene that spoke to me. As a Symbolic Realist I am always looking for meaning in nature. As I walked along this cascade looking at the pines, sycamores and granite a Western Columbine perched on top of a bolder caught my eye, so small and seemingly insignificant.
