THEODOSIA A. G. TAMBORLANE
BIOGRAPHY
Theodosia A. G. Tamborlane of Dunedin, Florida is an abstract artist. The use of dynamic colors and explosive movement are contained in her paintings. Her paintings combine gestural movements with geometric lines and forms in a deliberative yet free spirited process. She creates series paintings which are dedicated to particular themes.
Since 2008 her works have been in over 100 solo and group exhibitions in New York City, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Florida. She has been awarded three First Prizes; featured in art magazines, the Manhattan International Art Online Gallery, and her paintings are in private and public collections in the United States, Japan and the Netherlands. She has donated 110 paintings to six New Jersey Hospital Foundations. Her 2014 New York City Partners International exhibition “Ideas in Abstraction 2008-2013 was comprised of 85 paintings from ten differing series. Her 2015 Johnson & Johnson Corporate solo exhibition presented the series, “Five Seasons.” In 2016, her new “City Scapes” series was first shown.
She studied at the Art Students League and the School of Visual Arts in New York City. She is a member of the New Jersey Contemporary Art Group and Studio Montclair in Montclair, New Jersey and the Dunedin Fine Art Center in Dunedin, Florida. She holds an Associate Fine Arts Degree from Union County College, Cranford, New Jersey. Her other degrees are an AA from Peirce College, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; BA from Drew University, Madison, New Jersey; MPA from Fairleigh Dickinson University, Rutherford, New Jersey and JD from Seton Hall Law School, Newark, New Jersey.
