Sobre el Artista
I was born and raised in the south west of England, where I obtained a BA (Hons) Degree in Photography from Falmouth College of Arts. Soon after graduating, I was approached by Gallery2C, a contemporary fine art photography gallery in the UK, offering me the opportunity to exhibit my photographs, and to be represented by them. To date I have exhibited in various locations in the UK and New Zealand, where I now live.
In 2004, I won the Thomas Gowar Award from the British Institute of Professional Photography, in recognition of my portfolio and ambitions to travel to Ecuador to share my knowledge and skills in photography with street children.
My photographs have always been inspired by the landscape and nature that surrounds me. I consider photography to be an important medium for communicating my ideas and concepts to others, a way of expressing and sharing my passion for the natural world.
Over the past few years, I have worked on a diverse range of
photographic projects with various clients. These range from architecture and interiors, to landscapes, nature and marine wildlife. At present I am working on a couple of projects; the first is a collection of aerial photographs of the coastline of the Far North of New Zealand. The second is the production of a coffee table book of landscape photographs of the South Island of New Zealand, for which I am hoping to find a publisher.
