Hoc Age is a Latin phrase for ‘Get on and do it’. Which is the motto of Bradford Grammar School, where David Hockney started his career. David Hockney was born in Bradford, West Riding of Yorkshire, England (born 9 July 1937) he is an English painter, draftsman, printmaker, stage designer, and photographer and an important contributor to the pop art scene. This digital portrait, is a painting of Hockney whilst at BGS where he developed his artistic skills. He went on to become a world renown artist studying at The Royal College of Art. Where he did “Get on and do it” as his school motto demanded.
