Sobre el Artista
I am a retired teacher, and after a career of 27 years, I began spending my free time drawing. I grew up living a simple life in northeast Montana, and am fortunate to continue residing in our beautiful state near Glacier Park. My home, family, and pets are the inspiration for my work. I am a self-taught artist with a realistic style and a contemporary perspective; using acrylic, watercolor, pastels, and predominantly colored pencils and graphite. I take hundreds of photographs of real life daily, and strive to reproduce an ordinary person, place, or object in a way that will evoke memories and joy. I work carefully to enhance light, shading, and textures within each drawing I complete. It is such a feeling of satisfaction when I am able to capture the precise look in a pet’s eyes, emotion in a person’s face, or the character of the land.
