Sobre el Artista

Since my childhood I have loved to draw and paint, I grew up with horses, so horses and people were my favorite subjects. At first I went to a fashion academie, than 1 year Art Academy in Maastricht, next an education to become a primary school teacher and than later also 5 more years at the Art Academy Maasmechelen (Belgium). Both painting and model drawing. I really had great inspiring and strict mentors. At the same time, I received commissions from the equestrian center on which our daughters rode horses. That's how I ended up at the 5 star equestrian show jumping Longlignes Global Championstour, where I was asked to exhibit in my own booth as well as in the entire viplounges and even at the casino in Monaco. It was a great time, we have met a lot of people, I loved this dynamics of painting and exhibiting. In 2012 decided to start tattooing, learn new techniques and materials, It is a magnificently profession. You crawl literally into someone else's skin. The learning process is also very intriguing. But it is also a tough profession. Physically, because you often sit in the same position for hours and mentally, because people often choose a tattoo for emotional reasons. That means that you often have them sitting in the chair for days. That you get to hear more of their emotional struggles than the average psychologist. A few months ago I decided to take up the brushes and pencils again. Because I missed it. Because it makes me zen. And because I'm bursting with ideas. Because in the end I like nothing better than painting.
